Peanut will melt your heart. She is one of the hoarder dogs brought to Pet Save in the fall. She lived in a home with over 50 large breed dogs. She had never been outside or met any people other than the two in the home.
Her nickname at Pet Save is Peanut. She is by far the smallest in size of all of her pack members. She took her time to decompress and start to trust people. For the first few weeks she would hide in a corner while the rest of her pack played outside. We could only imagine what she went through to make her that afraid so we gave her space. Peanut finally came out of her shell and went to a foster home. She is currently back at the shelter. She now plays with confidence with her pack and flourishes in the presence of the alpha dogs, Blue and Momma. Peanut enjoys one on one time and has a cute leash trot!!! Peanut is looking for a quiet home with another dog where she can continue to progress with the guidance of her person. Peanut has been crate trained.
